John Shaqi

قُلْتُ لَهُ بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَ أُمِّي إِنِّي جَعَلْتُ عَلَى نَفْسِي مَشْياً إِلَى بَيْتِ اللَّهِ قَالَ كَفِّرْ يَمِينَكَ فَإِنَّمَا جَعَلْتَ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ يَمِيناً وَ مَا جَعَلْتَهُ لِلَّهِ فَفِ بِهِ .


Translation

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Muhammad Bin Ahmad, from Al Sindy Bin Muhammad, from Safwan Al Jammal, Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, said, ‘I said to him<sup>asws</sup>, ‘May my father be (sacrificed) for you<sup>asws</sup> and my mother! I made it upon myself for walking to the House of Allah<sup>azwj</sup>’. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Expiate your vow, for rather you have made an oath upon yourself, so whatever you have made it to be for the Sake of Allah<sup>azwj</sup>, so fulfill with it’.
