سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الْمَلِكِ بْنَ أَعْيَنَ يَسْأَلُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (عليه السلام) فَلَمْ يَزَلْ يُسَائِلُهُ حَتَّى قَالَ فَهَلَكَ النَّاسُ إِذاً قَالَ إِي وَ اللَّهِ يَا ابْنَ أَعْيَنَ فَهَلَكَ النَّاسُ أَجْمَعُونَ قُلْتُ مَنْ فِي الْمَشْرِقِ وَ مَنْ فِي الْمَغْرِبِ قَالَ إِنَّهَا فُتِحَتْ بِضَلَالٍ إِي وَ اللَّهِ لَهَلَكُوا إِلَّا ثَلَاثَةً.
Translation
<a id="_Toc492473485">H 14804</a> – Al-Husayn Bin Muhammad, from Moala Bin Muhammad, from Al-Washa, from Abaan Bin Usman, from Al-haris Bin Al-Mugheira who said: <span class="first-chapter-phrase"><span class="first-in-chapter character-i">I</span> heard Abdul Malik</span> Bin Ayn ask Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> and he did not stop asking until he said, ‘So the people are destroyed’. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Yes, by Allah<sup>azwj</sup>! O Ibn Ayn, all the people destroyed’. I said, ‘The ones who are in the east and the one who are in the west?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘They have been conquered by the misguidance. Yes, by Allah<sup>azwj</sup>! They were destroyed except for three (Salman<sup>ar</sup>, Abu Dharr<sup>ar</sup> and Al-Miqdad<sup>ar</sup>)’.
