قُلْتُ لَهُ مَا بَالُ أَقْوَامٍ يَرْوُونَ عَنْ فُلَانٍ وَ فُلَانٍ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) لَا يُتَّهَمُونَ بِالْكَذِبِ فَيَجِيءُ مِنْكُمْ خِلَافُهُ قَالَ إِنَّ الْحَدِيثَ يُنْسَخُ كَمَا يُنْسَخُ الْقُرْآنُ .

ہمارے اصحاب کی ایک جماعت نے احمد بن محمد سے، انہوں نے عثمان بن عیسیٰ سے، انہوں نے ابو ایوب الخزاز سے، انہوں نے محمد بن مسلم سے، انہوں نے ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت کی، انہوں نے کہا: میں نے ان سے کہا: 'یہ لوگ فلاں اور فلاں سے، جو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے روایت کرتے ہیں، ان پر جھوٹ کا الزام نہیں، پھر آپ کی طرف سے اس کے خلاف کیوں آتا ہے؟' آپ نے فرمایا: 'بے شک حدیث منسوخ ہوتی ہے جیسے قرآن منسوخ ہوتا ہے۔'
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from usman Bin Isa, from Abu Ayoub Al Khazzaz, from Muhammad Bin Muslim, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, said, ‘I said to him<sup>asws</sup>, ‘What is the matter that the people are reporting from so and so, from Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup>, you<sup>asws</sup> are not accusing them of the lying, and there is coming from you<sup>asws</sup>, different to it?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The Hadeeth Abrogates just as the Quran Abrogates’.
