John Shaqi

إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ يَقُولُ يَحْزَنُ عَبْدِيَ الْمُؤْمِنُ إِنْ قَتَّرْتُ عَلَيْهِ وَ ذَلِكَ أَقْرَبُ لَهُ مِنِّي وَ يَفْرَحُ عَبْدِيَ الْمُؤْمِنُ إِنْ وَسَّعْتُ عَلَيْهِ وَ ذَلِكَ أَبْعَدُ لَهُ مِنِّي .


Translation

From him, from his father, from Abu Al Bakhtary, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic is Saying: “My<sup>azwj</sup> believing servant grieves when I<sup>saww</sup> drip a drop upon him, and that makes him closer to Me<sup>azwj</sup>; and My<sup>azwj</sup> believing servant is happy when I<sup>azwj</sup> Expand upon him, and that makes him remote from Me<sup>azwj</sup>”’.
