قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) لَا قَوْلَ إِلَّا بِعَمَلٍ وَ لَا قَوْلَ وَ لَا عَمَلَ إِلَّا بِنِيَّةٍ وَ لَا قَوْلَ وَ لَا عَمَلَ وَ لَا نِيَّةَ إِلَّا بِإِصَابَةِ السُّنَّةِ .

ہمارے کئی اصحاب نے احمد بن محمد بن خالد سے، انہوں نے اپنے والد سے، انہوں نے ابو اسماعیل ابراہیم بن اسحاق الازدی سے، انہوں نے ابو عثمان العبدی سے، انہوں نے جعفر سے، انہوں نے اپنے آباء سے، انہوں نے امیر المومنین علیہ السلام سے روایت کی کہ آپ نے فرمایا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: کوئی بات عمل کے بغیر نہیں، اور نہ کوئی بات ہے نہ عمل نیت کے بغیر، اور نہ کوئی بات ہے نہ عمل نہ نیت سنت پر عمل پیرا ہوئے بغیر۔
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Khalid, from his father, from Abu Ismail Ibrahim Bin Is’haq Al Azdy, from Abu Usman Al Abady, (It has been narrated) from Ja’far<sup>asws</sup>, from his<sup>asws</sup> forefathers<sup>asws</sup>, from Amir Al-Momineen<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> said: ‘There is no word except with the deed, and there is neither a word nor a deed except with an intention, and there is neither a word nor a deed nor an intention except with attaining the Sunnah’.
