قَالَ لِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَا أَبَا الصَّخْرِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُعْطِي الدُّنْيَا مَنْ يُحِبُّ وَ يُبْغِضُ وَ لَا يُعْطِي هَذَا الْأَمْرَ إِلَّا صَفْوَتَهُ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ أَنْتُمْ وَ اللَّهِ عَلَى دِينِي وَ دِينِ آبَائِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَ إِسْمَاعِيلَ لَا أَعْنِي عَلِيَّ بْنَ الْحُسَيْنِ وَ لَا مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ وَ إِنْ كَانَ هَؤُلَاءِ عَلَى دِينِ هَؤُلَاءِ .
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Ibn Fazzal, from Ibn Bukeyr, from Hamza Bin Humran, from Umar Bin Hanzala who said, ‘Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> said to me: ‘O Abu Al-Sakhr! Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Gives the world to the ones He<sup>azwj</sup> Loves and (the ones) He<sup>azwj</sup> Hates, and (but) He<sup>azwj</sup> does not Give this matter (Al-Wilayah) except for the elites from His<sup>azwj</sup> creatures. (All of) you, by Allah<sup>azwj</sup>, are upon my<sup>asws</sup> Religion and the Religion of my<sup>asws</sup> forefathers<sup>asws</sup>, Ibrahim<sup>as</sup> and Ismail<sup>as</sup>. I<sup>asws</sup> do not mean Ali<sup class="bTxt">asws</sup> Bin Al-Husayn<sup>asws</sup>, nor Muhammad<sup class="bTxt">asws</sup> Bin Ali<sup>asws</sup>, and even though they<sup>asws</sup> are upon the Religion of those<sup>as</sup>’.
