قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) إِنَّ عَظِيمَ الْبَلَاءِ يُكَافَأُ بِهِ عَظِيمُ الْجَزَاءِ فَإِذَا أَحَبَّ اللَّهُ عَبْداً ابْتَلَاهُ بِعَظِيمِ الْبَلَاءِ فَمَنْ رَضِيَ فَلَهُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ الرِّضَا وَ مَنْ سَخِطَ الْبَلَاءَ فَلَهُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ السَّخَطُ .

ان سے، احمد بن محمد سے، ابن محبوب سے، زید الزراد سے، ابو عبد اللہ (عليه السلام) سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے فرمایا: رسول اللہ (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) نے فرمایا: “بے شک بڑی آزمائش کے بدلے بڑا اجر دیا جاتا ہے۔ پس جب اللہ کسی بندے سے محبت فرماتا ہے تو اسے بڑی آزمائش میں مبتلا کرتا ہے۔ لہٰذا جو راضی ہو، اس کے لیے اللہ کے ہاں رضا ہے؛ اور جو آزمائش پر ناراض ہو، اس کے لیے اللہ کے ہاں غضب ہے۔”
Translation
From him, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ibn Mahboub, from Zayd Al Zarrad, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> said: ‘The great affliction is matched with great Recompense. So when Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Loves a servant, Afflicts him with the great affliction. So the one who is pleased, for him would be the Pleasure in the Presence of Allah<sup>azwj</sup>, and the one who is angered by the affliction, for him would be the Anger in the Presence of Allah<sup>azwj</sup>’.
