سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ إِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ مِنَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ لَبِأَفْضَلِ مَكَانٍ ثَلَاثاً إِنَّهُ لَيَبْتَلِيهِ بِالْبَلَاءِ ثُمَّ يَنْزِعُ نَفْسَهُ عُضْواً عُضْواً مِنْ جَسَدِهِ وَ هُوَ يَحْمَدُ اللَّهَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ .

ہمارے بعض اصحاب نے احمد بن ابی عبد اللہ سے، انہوں نے اپنے والد سے، انہوں نے ابراہیم بن محمد اشعری سے، انہوں نے عبید بن زرارہ سے روایت کی، جنہوں نے کہا: میں نے ابا عبد اللہ (عليه السلام) کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا: بے شک مومن اللہ عز و جل کے نزدیک بہت بہترین مقام پر ہوتا ہے—تین بار۔ وہ ضرور اسے ابتلا میں آزماتا ہے، پھر اس کی روح کو اس کے جسم سے عضو بہ عضو نکال لیتا ہے، اور وہ اس پر اللہ کی حمد کرتا رہتا ہے۔
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Abu Abdullah, from his father, from Ibrahim Bin Muhammad Al Ashary, from Ubeyd Bin Zurara who said, ‘I heard Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> saying that the <span class="iTxt">Momin</span> is in a superior place from Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic’ – thrice. ‘He<sup>azwj</sup> would Afflict him with afflictions, then He<sup>azwj</sup> would Remov, part by part from his body, but he would be Praising Allah<sup>azwj</sup> upon that’.
