إِنَّهُ لَيَكُونُ لِلْعَبْدِ مَنْزِلَةٌ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ فَمَا يَنَالُهَا إِلَّا بِإِحْدَى خَصْلَتَيْنِ إِمَّا بِذَهَابِ مَالِهِ أَوْ بِبَلِيَّةٍ فِي جَسَدِهِ .

محمد بن یحیی، احمد بن محمد بن عیسی سے، ابن فضال سے، علی بن عقبہ سے، سلیمان بن خالد سے، ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت کرتے ہیں، جنہوں نے فرمایا: بے شک بندے کے لیے اللہ کے ہاں ایک مرتبہ ہوتی ہے جس تک وہ دو خصلتوں میں سے کسی ایک کے بغیر نہیں پہنچتا: یا تو اس کے مال کے چلے جانے کے ذریعے، یا اس کے جسم میں کسی آزمائش کے ذریعے۔
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Ibn Fazzal, from Ali Bin Uqba, from Suleyman Bin Khalid, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘There happens be a status for the servant in the Presence of Allah<sup>azwj</sup>, but it cannot be attained except with one of the two qualities – either by the departure of his wealth or by affliction in his body’.
