قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) مَثَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِ كَمَثَلِ خَامَةِ الزَّرْعِ تُكْفِئُهَا الرِّيَاحُ كَذَا وَ كَذَا وَ كَذَلِكَ الْمُؤْمِنُ تُكْفِئُهُ الْأَوْجَاعُ وَ الْأَمْرَاضُ وَ مَثَلُ الْمُنَافِقِ كَمَثَلِ الْإِرْزَبَّةِ الْمُسْتَقِيمَةِ الَّتِي لَا يُصِيبُهَا شَيْءٌ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَهُ الْمَوْتُ فَيَقْصِفَهُ قَصْفاً .

رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا: مومن کی مثال کھیتی کی نرم کونپل کی مانند ہے: ہوائیں اسے ادھر اُدھر جھکا دیتی ہیں؛ اسی طرح مومن کو درد اور بیماریاں جھکا دیتی ہیں۔ اور منافق کی مثال سیدھی لوہے کی سلاخ کی مانند ہے جسے کوئی چیز متاثر نہیں کرتی یہاں تک کہ موت اس تک آ پہنچتی ہے اور اسے بالکل توڑ دیتی ہے۔
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Husayn Bin Usman, from Abdullah Bin Muskan, from Abu Baseer, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> having said: ‘Rasool-Allah<sup style="font-weight: normal">saww</sup> said: ‘An example of the <span class="iTxt">Momin</span> is like an example of the sprouting plant, the wind sways it such and such; and similar to that is the <span class="iTxt">Momin</span>, The aches and the illnesses bend him; and an example of the hypocrite is like an example of the straight iron mallet which nothing can affect until the death comes to him, so it breaks it with a breakage’.
