إِنَّ اللَّهَ جَلَّ ثَنَاؤُهُ لَيَعْتَذِرُ إِلَى عَبْدِهِ الْمُؤْمِنِ الْمُحْوِجِ فِي الدُّنْيَا كَمَا يَعْتَذِرُ الْأَخُ إِلَى أَخِيهِ فَيَقُولُ وَ عِزَّتِي وَ جَلَالِي مَا أَحْوَجْتُكَ فِي الدُّنْيَا مِنْ هَوَانٍ كَانَ بِكَ عَلَيَّ فَارْفَعْ هَذَا السَّجْفَ فَانْظُرْ إِلَى مَا عَوَّضْتُكَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا قَالَ فَيَرْفَعُ فَيَقُولُ مَا ضَرَّنِي مَا مَنَعْتَنِي مَعَ مَا عَوَّضْتَنِي .

محمد بن یحییٰ، احمد بن محمد بن عیسیٰ سے، محمد بن سنان سے، علی بن عفان سے، مفضل بن عمر سے، ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت کرتے ہیں، جنہوں نے فرمایا: بے شک اللہ، جس کی حمد و ثنا عظیم ہے، اپنے مومن بندے سے معذرت کرتا ہے جسے دنیا میں محتاج بنایا گیا، جیسے ایک بھائی اپنے بھائی سے معذرت کرتا ہے۔ پھر وہ فرماتا ہے: “میری عزت اور میرے جلال کی قسم، میں نے تمہیں دنیا میں میرے نزدیک کسی ذلت کی وجہ سے محتاج نہیں بنایا۔ پس اس پردے کو اٹھاؤ اور دیکھو کہ میں نے دنیا کے بدلے تمہیں کیا عطا کیا ہے۔” علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: “پھر وہ اسے اٹھاتا ہے اور کہتا ہے: ‘جو کچھ تو نے مجھ سے روک لیا، اس نے مجھے نقصان نہیں پہنچایا، اس کے ساتھ جو تو نے مجھے عطا کیا۔’”
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Muhammad Bin Sinan, from Ali Bin Affan, from Mufazzal Bin Umar, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Allah<sup>azwj</sup>, Majestic is His<sup>azwj</sup> Praise Apologises to His<sup>azwj</sup> <span class="iTxt">Momin</span> servant, the one needy in the world, just as the brother apologises to his brother, so He<sup>azwj</sup> Saying: ‘By My<sup>azwj</sup> Honour and My<sup>azwj</sup> Majesty! I<sup>azwj</sup> did not Impoverish you in the world for Humiliation with you. So raise this Curtain and look at what I<sup>azwj</sup> have Compensated you from (instead of) the world”. He<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> said: ‘So he would raise it, and he would be saying, ‘It did not harm me what You<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Prevented from me, with You<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> have Compensated to me’’.
