Al-Kafi 2445

اردو

ابو علی الاشعری، عیسی بن ایوب سے، علی بن مہزیار سے، قاسم بن عروہ سے، ابن بکیر سے، زرارہ سے، ابو جعفر علیہ السلام سے روایت کرتے ہیں، جنہوں نے فرمایا: کوئی بندہ ایسا نہیں مگر اس کے دل میں ایک سفید نقطہ ہوتا ہے۔ پھر جب وہ کوئی گناہ کرتا ہے تو اسی نقطے میں ایک سیاہ نقطہ ظاہر ہو جاتا ہے۔ اگر وہ توبہ کرے تو وہ سیاہی دور ہو جاتی ہے؛ لیکن اگر وہ گناہوں پر قائم رہے تو وہ سیاہی بڑھتی رہتی ہے یہاں تک کہ سفیدی کو ڈھانپ لیتی ہے۔ پھر جب وہ سفیدی کو ڈھانپ لیتی ہے تو اس کا مالک کبھی بھی کسی بھلائی کی طرف واپس نہیں لوٹتا، ہمیشہ کے لیے۔ اور یہ اللہ عز و جل کا قول ہے: “ہرگز نہیں! بلکہ ان کے اعمال نے ان کے دلوں پر زنگ چڑھا دیا ہے۔”

Translation

Abu Ali Al Ashary, from Isa Bin Ayoub, fromAli Bin Mahziyar, from Al Qasim Bin Urwat, from Ibn Bukeyr, from Zurara, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far^asws having said: ‘There is none from a servant except that there is a white spot in his heart. So when he commits a sin, a black spot appears in the (white) spot. So if he repents, that (black spot) goes away, and if he deliberates in the sins, that black (spot) increases until it covers the white (spot). So when the white (spot) is covered upon, its owner would not return to the goodness, ever! And these are the Words of Allah^azwj Mighty and Majestic <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:83#h14"><a href="/books/quran:83#h14">[83:14]</a></a> Nay! rather, what they used to do has become like rust upon their hearts</span>’.
