سَأَلْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ شَيْءٍ مِنَ الصِّفَةِ فَقَالَ لَا تَجَاوَزْ مَا فِي الْقُرْآنِ .

سہل نے السندی بن الربیع سے، انہوں نے ابن ابی عمیر سے، انہوں نے حفص جو مرازم کے بھائی ہیں ان سے، انہوں نے مفضل سے روایت کی کہ انہوں نے کہا: میں نے ابو الحسن علیہ السلام سے صفات (الہی) کے بارے میں کوئی بات پوچھی، تو آپ نے فرمایا: جو قرآن میں ہے اس سے تجاوز مت کرو۔
Translation
Sahl, from Al Sindy Bin Al Rabi’e, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Hafs a brother of Marazim, from Al Mufazzal who said, ‘I asked Abu Al-Hassan<sup>asws</sup> about something from the Attributes. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Do not exceed what is in the Quran’.
