علی بن محمد، سهل بن زیاد سے، اور ایک دوسرے سے، محمد بن سلیمان سے، علی بن ابراہیم سے، عبداللہ بن سنان سے، ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت کرتے ہیں، جنہوں نے فرمایا: بے شک اللہ عظیم اور بلند ہے۔ بندے اس کی صفت بیان کرنے کی قدرت نہیں رکھتے، اور نہ ہی اس کی عظمت کی حقیقت تک پہنچ سکتے ہیں۔ نگاہیں اسے پا نہیں سکتیں، جبکہ وہ نگاہوں کو پا لیتا ہے، اور وہ نہایت لطیف، خوب باخبر ہے۔ اور اسے 'کیف'، نہ 'کہاں'، نہ جگہ کے ساتھ بیان نہیں کیا جاتا۔ میں اسے 'کیف' کے ساتھ کیسے بیان کروں، جبکہ وہی ہے جس نے 'کیف' کو پیدا کیا یہاں تک کہ وہ 'کیف' بن گیا؟ پس 'کیف' اسی کے ہمارے لیے پیدا کیے ہوئے 'کیف' کے ذریعے پہچانا گیا۔ یا میں اسے 'کہاں' کے ساتھ کیسے بیان کروں، جبکہ وہی ہے جس نے 'کہاں' کو پیدا کیا یہاں تک کہ وہ 'کہاں' بن گیا؟ پس 'کہاں' اسی کے ہمارے لیے پیدا کیے ہوئے 'کہاں' کے ذریعے پہچانا گیا۔ یا میں اسے جگہ کے ساتھ کیسے بیان کروں، جبکہ وہی ہے جس نے جگہ کو پیدا کیا یہاں تک کہ وہ جگہ بن گئی؟ پس جگہ اسی کے ہمارے لیے پیدا کیے ہوئے جگہ کے ذریعے پہچانی گئی۔ پس اللہ، بابرکت اور بلند و برتر، ہر جگہ کے اندر ہے اور ہر چیز سے باہر ہے۔ نگاہیں اسے پا نہیں سکتیں، جبکہ وہ نگاہوں کو پا لیتا ہے۔ اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، وہی بلند ترین، عظیم ہے، اور وہ نہایت لطیف، خوب باخبر ہے۔

Translation

Ali Bin Muhammad, from Sahl Bin Ziyad and from someone else, from Muhammad Bin Suleyman, from Ali Bin Ibrahim, from Abdullah Bin Sinan, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah^asws having said: ‘Allah^azwj is Magnificent, Lofty. The servants have no ability upon describing Him^azwj, nor would they reach His^azwj Magnificence <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:6#h103"><a href="/books/quran:6#h103">[6:103]</a></a> Visions cannot comprehend Him, and He Comprehends (all) visions</span>, and He^azwj is Aware of the subtleties, the Aware; and He^azwj can neither be described by the ‘how’, nor ‘where’; and ‘where’ and ‘how’ described Him^azwj with the Qualitative State, and He^azwj is the One^azwj Who Originated the ‘how’ until ‘how’ came to be. So the ‘how’ was recognised by what it was Originated for us from the Qualitative State. Or, how can I^azwj describe Him^azwj with ‘where’, and He^azwj is the One^azwj Who Originated the ‘where’ until ‘where’ came to be. So the ‘where’ is recognised with what it was Originated for us from the ‘where’. Of how can I^asws describe Him^asws with a position, and He^azwj is the One^azwj Who Originated the position, until ‘position’ came to be. So the ‘position’ is recognised with that it was Originated for us from the ‘position’. So, Allah^azwj Blessed and High is included in every place, and outside from everything. <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:6#h103"><a href="/books/quran:6#h103">[6:103]</a></a> Visions cannot comprehend Him, and He Comprehends (all) visions</span>. There is no god except Allah^azwj. He^azwj is the Exalted, the Magnificent, and He^azwj is Aware of the subtleties, the Aware’.
