كَتَبْتُ إِلَى أَبِي الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلام ) فِي دُعَاءٍ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ مُنْتَهَى عِلْمِهِ فَكَتَبَ إِلَيَّ لَا تَقُولَنَّ مُنْتَهَى عِلْمِهِ فَلَيْسَ لِعِلْمِهِ مُنْتَهًى وَ لَكِنْ قُلْ مُنْتَهَى رِضَاهُ .

میں نے ابو الحسن علیہ السلام کو ایک دعا کے بارے میں لکھا جس میں تھا: 'الحمد للہ منتہی علمہ'۔ تو آپ نے مجھے لکھا: 'منتہی علمہ' مت کہو، کیونکہ اس کے علم کی کوئی انتہا نہیں، بلکہ کہو 'منتہی رضاہ'۔
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Muhammad Bin Al Husayn, from Safwan Bin Yahya, from Al Kahily who said, ‘I wrote to Abu Al-Hassan<sup>asws</sup> regarding the supplication ‘The Praise is for Allah<sup>azwj</sup> the end-point of His<sup>azwj</sup> Knowledge’ (دُعَاءٍ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ مُنْتَهَى عِلْمِهِ). So he<sup>asws</sup> wrote back: ‘Do not be saying, ‘End-point of His<sup>azwj</sup> Knowledge’, for there is no end-point to His<sup>azwj</sup> Knowledge. But, say, ‘End-point of His<sup>azwj</sup> Pleasure (for His<sup>azwj</sup> creatures)’.
