Al-Kafi 302

میں ابو جعفر علیہ السلام کی مجلس میں تھا کہ عمرو بن عبید ان کے پاس آیا اور ان سے کہا: جعلت فداک! اللہ تبارک و تعالیٰ کا یہ قول کہ 'جس پر میرا غضب آ پڑے تو وہ ہلاک ہو گیا' [۲۰:۸۱] — وہ غضب کیا ہے؟ تو ابو جعفر علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: اے عمرو! وہ عذاب ہے۔ بے شک جس نے یہ دعویٰ کیا کہ اللہ ایک حالت سے دوسری حالت میں منتقل ہو گیا، اس نے اسے مخلوق کی صفت کے ساتھ بیان کیا، اور اللہ تعالیٰ کو کوئی چیز ہیجان میں نہیں ڈالتی کہ وہ تبدیل ہو جائے۔

Translation

A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Al Barqy, from Muhammad Bin Isa, from Al Mashraqy Hamza Bin Al Mutafa’a, from one of our companions who said, ‘I was in a gathering of Abu Ja’far^asws when Amro Bin Ubeyd came over to him^asws and said to him^asws, ‘May I be sacrificed for you^asws! The Words of Allah^azwj Blessed and High <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:20#h81"><a href="/books/quran:20#h81">[20:81]</a></a>, and whomsoever My Anger is due upon so he has perished</span>. What is that Anger?’ So Abu Ja’far^asws said: ‘It is the Punishment, O Amro, and he who alleges that Allah^azwj has ceased to be from a thing to a thing, so he has described Him^azwj with an attribute of a creature, and that Allah^azwj the Exalted. Nothing stirs Him^azwj, so He^azwj would change’.
