John Shaqi

قَالَ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلام ) إِذَا صَلَّيْتَ الْمَغْرِبَ فَلَا تَبْسُطْ رِجْلَكَ وَ لَا تُكَلِّمْ أَحَداً حَتَّى تَقُولَ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ لَا حَوْلَ وَ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ وَ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ فِي الْغَدَاةِ فَمَنْ قَالَهَا دَفَعَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ مِائَةَ نَوْعٍ مِنْ أَنْوَاعِ الْبَلَاءِ أَدْنَى نَوْعٍ مِنْهَا الْبَرَصُ وَ الْجُذَامُ وَ الشَّيْطَانُ وَ السُّلْطَانُ .


Translation

From him, from Muhammad Bin Abdul Hameed, from Sa’ad Bin Zayd who said, ‘Abu Al-Hassan<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Whenever you pray Al-Maghrib <span class="iTxt">Sal</span>ā<span class="iTxt">t</span>, so do not extend your legs and do not speak to anyone until you say ten times, ‘In the Name of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> the Beneficent, the Merciful. There is neither Might nor Strength except with Allah<sup>azwj</sup>, the Exalted, the Magnificent’, and one hundred times during the morning (<span class="iTxt">Salat</span>). So the one who says it, Allah<sup>azwj</sup> would Repel from him, one hundred types from the types of afflictions, the least from it being the vitiligo, and the leprosy, and the Satan<sup>la</sup>, and the ruling authority’.
