قُلْ أَسْتَعِيذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ وَ أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ أَنْ يَحْضُرُونِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ وَ قُلْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ يُحْيِي وَ يُمِيتُ وَ هُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ قَالَ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ مَفْرُوضٌ هُوَ قَالَ نَعَمْ مَفْرُوضٌ مَحْدُودٌ تَقُولُهُ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَ قَبْلَ الْغُرُوبِ عَشْرَ مَرَّاتٍ فَإِنْ فَاتَكَ شَيْءٌ فَاقْضِهِ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَ النَّهَارِ .
Translation
From him, from Muhammad Bin Ali, from Abu Jameela, from Muhammad Bin Marwan, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Say, ‘I seek Refuge with Allah<sup>azwj</sup> from the Pelted Satan<sup>la</sup>, and I seek Refuge with Allah<sup>azwj</sup>, that he<sup>la</sup> would approach me, and that Allah<sup>azwj</sup>, He<sup>azwj</sup> is the Hearing, the Knowing’. And say, ‘There is no god except Allah<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup>, Alone, there being no associate for Him<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup>. He<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Causes to live and He<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Causes to die, and He<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> is Able upon every thing’. He (the narrator) said, ‘So a man said to him<sup>asws</sup>, ‘Is it an Obligation?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Yes, an Obligation, Limited. You should be saying before the emergence of the sun and before the setting, ten times. So if something is missed by you, so make up for it, from the night and the day’.
