جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَدْ لَقِيتُ شِدَّةً مِنْ وَسْوَسَةِ الصَّدْرِ وَ أَنَا رَجُلٌ مَدِينٌ مُعِيلٌ مُحْوِجٌ فَقَالَ لَهُ كَرِّرْ هَذِهِ الْكَلِمَاتِ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى الْحَيِّ الَّذِي لَا يَمُوتُ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ صَاحِبَةً وَ لَا وَلَداً وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ شَرِيكٌ فِي الْمُلْكِ وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَلِيٌّ مِنَ الذُّلِّ وَ كَبِّرْهُ تَكْبِيراً تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى الْحَيِّ الَّذِي لَا يَمُوتُ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ صَاحِبَةً وَ لَا وَلَداً وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ شَرِيكٌ فِي الْمُلْكِ وَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَلِيٌّ مِنَ الذُّلِّ وَ كَبِّرْهُ تَكْبِيراً فَلَمْ يَلْبَثْ أَنْ جَاءَهُ فَقَالَ أَذْهَبَ اللَّهُ عَنِّي وَسْوَسَةَ صَدْرِي وَ قَضَى عَنِّي دَيْنِي وَ وَسَّعَ عَلَيَّ رِزْقِي .
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Muhammad Bin Sinan, from Ibn Muskan, from Abu Hamza Al Sumaly, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘A man came over to the Prophet<sup>saww</sup> and he said, ‘O Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup>! I am facing intense Satanic insinuations of the chest, and I am a man in debts, with dependants, needy’. So he<sup>saww</sup> said: ‘Reiterate these words, ‘I rely upon the Living Who will no be dying, and the Praise is for Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Who neither Took a female companion nor a son, and there does not happen to be an associate for Him<sup>azwj</sup> in the Kingdom, and there does not happen to be a guardian for Him<sup>azwj</sup> from the disgrace, and I exclaim His<sup>azwj</sup> Greatness with <span class="iTxt">Takbeer</span>’’. So it was not long before he came over to him<sup>saww</sup> and he said, ‘Allah<sup>azwj</sup> has Removed the Satanic insinuations of my chest and Fulfilled my debts from me and Expanded my sustenance upon me’’.
