قَالَ لِي أَبُو الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلام ) إِذَا كَانَ لَكَ يَا سَمَاعَةُ إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ حَاجَةٌ فَقُلِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَلِيٍّ فَإِنَّ لَهُمَا عِنْدَكَ شَأْناً مِنَ الشَّأْنِ وَ قَدْراً مِنَ الْقَدْرِ فَبِحَقِّ ذَلِكَ الشَّأْنِ وَ بِحَقِّ ذَلِكَ الْقَدْرِ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ أَنْ تَفْعَلَ بِي كَذَا وَ كَذَا فَإِنَّهُ إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ لَمْ يَبْقَ مَلَكٌ مُقَرَّبٌ وَ لَا نَبِيٌّ مُرْسَلٌ وَ لَا مُؤْمِنٌ مُمْتَحَنٌ إِلَّا وَ هُوَ يَحْتَاجُ إِلَيْهِمَا فِي ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from one of his companions, from Ibrahim Bin Hanan, from Ali Bin Sowrat, from Sama’at who said, ‘Abu Al-Hassan<sup>asws</sup> said to me: ‘Whenever there was for you, O Sama’at, a need to Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic, so say, ‘O Allah<sup>azwj</sup>! I ask You<sup>azwj</sup> by the right of Muhammad<sup>saww</sup> and Ali<sup>asws</sup>, for, for the both of them<sup>asws</sup>, is a glory in Your<sup>azwj</sup> Presence from the Glories, and a power from the powers. So, by the right of that glory, and by the right of that power, Send <span class="iTxt">Salawāt</span> upon Muhammad<sup>saww</sup> and the Progeny<sup>asws</sup> of Muhammad<sup>saww</sup>, and that You<sup>azwj</sup> should Do such and such with me’. So when it will be the Day of Judgment, there would neither remain an Angel of Proximity, nor a <span class="iTxt">Mursil</span> Prophet<sup>as</sup>, nor an Examined <span class="iTxt">Momin</span>, except he would be needy to them both<sup>asws</sup>, during that Day’.
