ہمارے بہت سے اصحاب نے احمد بن محمد سے، اور سہل بن زیاد سے، اور علی بن ابراہیم نے اپنے والد سے، سب نے ابن محبوب سے، انہوں نے عبداللہ بن سنان سے، انہوں نے معاذ بن مسلم سے، انہوں نے عبداللہ بن سلیمان سے، انہوں نے ابو جعفر علیہ السلام سے روایت کی کہ آپ نے فرمایا: جو شخص کھڑے ہو کر اپنی نماز میں قرآن پڑھے، اللہ اسے ہر حرف کے بدلے سو نیکیاں لکھتا ہے؛ اور جو شخص نماز میں بیٹھ کر قرآن پڑھے، اللہ اسے ہر حرف کے بدلے پچاس نیکیاں لکھتا ہے؛ اور جو شخص نماز کے علاوہ قرآن پڑھے، اللہ اسے ہر حرف کے بدلے دس نیکیاں لکھتا ہے۔ ابن محبوب نے کہا: میں نے بھی معاذ سے اسی طرح سنا جیسے ابن سنان نے روایت کیا ہے۔

Translation

A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, and Sahl Bin Ziyad, and Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, altogether from Ibn Mahboub, from Abdullah Bin Sinan, from Muaz Bin Muslim, from Abdullah Ibn Suleyman, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far^asws having said: ‘The one who recites the Quran standing during his <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span>, Allah^azwj would Write for him, with every letter, one hundred good deeds; and the one who recites during his <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span>, seated, Allah^azwj would Write for him with every letter, fifty good deeds; and the one who recites during other than his <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span>, Allah^azwj would Write for him, with every letter, ten good deeds’. Ibn Mahboub (the fourth narrator) said, ‘And I had heard it from Muaz (the second reporter) upon an approximation from what Ibn Sinan (the third reporter) had reported it’.
