سُئِلَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى كُلُّ شَيْءٍ هالِكٌ إِلَّا وَجْهَهُ فَقَالَ مَا يَقُولُونَ فِيهِ قُلْتُ يَقُولُونَ يَهْلِكُ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا وَجْهَ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ لَقَدْ قَالُوا قَوْلًا عَظِيماً إِنَّمَا عَنَى بِذَلِكَ وَجْهَ اللَّهِ الَّذِي يُؤْتَى مِنْهُ .
اردو
محمد بن یحییٰ نے احمد بن محمد بن عیسیٰ سے، انہوں نے علی بن النعمان سے، انہوں نے سیف بن عمیرہ سے، انہوں نے ایک (نامعلوم) شخص سے، انہوں نے حارث بن مغیرہ النصری سے روایت کی، جنہوں نے کہا: ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام سے اللہ تبارک و تعالیٰ کے قول «كُلُّ شَيْءٍ هَالِكٌ إِلَّا وَجْهَهُ» کے بارے میں پوچھا گیا۔ تو آپ نے فرمایا: 'لوگ اس کے بارے میں کیا کہتے ہیں؟' میں نے کہا: 'وہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہر چیز ہلاک ہوگی سوائے اللہ کے چہرے کے۔' تو آپ نے فرمایا: 'سبحان اللہ! انہوں نے بڑی بات کہی! بلکہ اس سے مراد اللہ کا وہ وجہ ہے جس کے ذریعے اس تک پہنچا جاتا ہے۔'
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Ali Bin Al Nu’man, from Sayf Bin Ameyra, from the one who mentioned it, from Al Haris Bin Al Mugheira Al Nasry who said, ‘Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> was asked about the Words of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Blessed and High <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:28#h88"><a href="/books/quran:28#h88">[28:88]</a></a> everything will perish except for His Face</span>. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘What are they (people) saying with regards to it?’ I said, ‘They are saying, ‘Everything shall perish except for the Face of Allah<sup>azwj</sup>’’. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Glory be to Allah<sup>azwj</sup>! They have spoken a grievous speech! But rather, it Means by that the Face (Perspective) of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Which Came from Him<sup>azwj</sup>’.
