سَأَلْتُ الشَّيْخَ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَسْتَيْقِظُ مِنْ نَوْمِهِ وَ لَمْ يَبُلْ أَ يُدْخِلُ يَدَهُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَغْسِلَهَا قَالَ لَا لِأَنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ كَانَتْ يَدُهُ فَلْيَغْسِلْهَا .

ہمارے متعدد اصحاب نے احمد بن محمد سے، انہوں نے حسین بن سعید سے، انہوں نے محمد بن سنان سے، انہوں نے ابن مسکان سے، انہوں نے ابو بصیر سے، انہوں نے عبد الکریم بن عتبہ سے روایت کی جنہوں نے کہا: میں نے شیخ سے اس آدمی کے بارے میں پوچھا جو اپنی نیند سے بیدار ہوتا ہے اور اس نے پیشاب نہیں کیا ہوتا — کیا وہ اپنا ہاتھ دھونے سے پہلے برتن میں ڈال سکتا ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: نہیں، کیونکہ وہ نہیں جانتا کہ اس کا ہاتھ کہاں تھا، پس اسے چاہیے کہ پہلے اسے دھوئے۔
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al Husayn Bin Saeed, from Muhammad Bin Sinan, from Ibn Muskan, from Abu Baseer, from Abdul Kareem Bin Utba who said, ‘I asked the ‘Sheykh<sup>asws</sup>’ about the man who wakes up from his sleep and did not urinate, ‘Can he enter his hand into the vessel before he washes it?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘No, because he does not know where his hand was, therefore he should wash it (first)’.
