احمد بن محمد نے، علی بن الحکم سے، انہوں نے الکاہلی سے، انہوں نے ایک آدمی سے، انہوں نے ابی عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت کی، فرمایا: میں نے کہا: میں راستے سے گزرتا ہوں اور نالی کا پانی مجھ پر بہتا ہے ایسے اوقات میں جب میں جانتا ہوں کہ لوگ وضو کر رہے ہیں۔ آپؑ نے فرمایا: اس میں کوئی حرج نہیں، اس کے بارے میں سوال نہ کرو۔ میں نے کہا: بارش کا پانی بھی مجھ پر بہتا ہے، میں اس میں تبدیلی دیکھتا ہوں اور اس میں گندگی کے آثار دیکھتا ہوں، قطرے مجھ پر گرتے ہیں اور اس کے چھینٹے بھی مجھ پر آتے ہیں، اور گھر کی چھت پر وضو کیا جاتا ہے جو ہمارے کپڑوں پر ٹپکتا ہے۔ آپؑ نے فرمایا: اس میں کوئی حرج نہیں، اسے نہ دھوؤ؛ ہر چیز جسے بارش کا پانی چھو لے وہ پاک ہو جاتی ہے۔

Translation

Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Al Hakam, from Al Kahily, from a man, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah^asws, said, ‘I said, ‘I pass by in the road, so the water of the sprout flows over towards me in times I know that the people are performing their Ablution <span class="iTxt">(Wudhu)</span>s’. He^asws said: ‘There is no problem with it. Do not ask about it’. I said, ‘And there flows unto me from the rain water, I see the change in it, and I see in it traces of dirt. So, the drops (from it) fall upon me and it permeates (soaks) into me, and upon the house there are people performing Ablution <span class="iTxt">(Wudhu)</span>. So how is it upon our clothes?’ He^asws said: ‘There is no problem with that. Do not wash it. Everything which is hit by rain water, so it has been cleaned’.
