فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ التَّوَّابِينَ وَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ قَالَ كَانَ النَّاسُ يَسْتَنْجُونَ بِالْكُرْسُفِ وَ الْأَحْجَارِ ثُمَّ أُحْدِثَ الْوُضُوءُ وَ هُوَ خُلُقٌ كَرِيمٌ فَأَمَرَ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) وَ صَنَعَهُ وَ أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ فِي كِتَابِهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ التَّوَّابِينَ وَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ .
Translation
Muhammad Bin Ismail, from Al Fazl Bin Shazaan, and Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Jameel Bin Darraj, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said regarding the Words of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:2#h222"><a href="/books/quran:2#h222">[2:222]</a></a> surely Allah Loves the repentant, and He Loves those who purify themselves</span>, said: ‘‘The people used to clean their genitals with the old cotton cloth, or the stones, then used the water, and it was good mannerism, when Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> ordered for it, and they did it. So Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Revealed in His<sup>azwj</sup> Book <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:2#h222"><a href="/books/quran:2#h222">[2:222]</a></a> surely Allah Loves the repentant, and He Loves those who purify themselves</span>’.
