قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ مَنْ مَرِضَ ثَلَاثاً فَلَمْ يَشْكُ إِلَى أَحَدٍ مِنْ عُوَّادِهِ أَبْدَلْتُهُ لَحْماً خَيْراً مِنْ لَحْمِهِ وَ دَماً خَيْراً مِنْ دَمِهِ فَإِنْ عَافَيْتُهُ عَافَيْتُهُ وَ لَا ذَنْبَ لَهُ وَ إِنْ قَبَضْتُهُ قَبَضْتُهُ إِلَى رَحْمَتِي .

ابو علی الاشعری نے محمد بن سالم سے، انہوں نے احمد بن النضر سے، انہوں نے عمرو بن شمر سے، انہوں نے جابر سے، انہوں نے ابو جعفر علیہ السلام سے روایت کی کہ آپ نے فرمایا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اللہ عزّ و جلّ نے فرمایا: 'جو شخص تین دن بیمار رہے اور اپنے عیادت کرنے والوں سے شکایت نہ کرے، تو میں اس کا گوشت بہتر گوشت سے بدل دوں گا اور خون بہتر خون سے۔ اگر میں اسے عافیت دوں تو بغیر گناہ کے، اور اگر اسے موت دوں تو اپنی رحمت کی طرف۔'
Translation
Abu Ali Al Ashary, from Muhammad Bin Salim, from Ahmad Bin Al Nazar, from Amro Bin Shimr, from Jabir, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> having said: ‘Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic Said: “The one who gets sick for three (days) and he does not complain to anyone from his consolers, I<sup>azwj</sup> would Change his flesh to better than his (current) flesh, and to better blood than his (current) blood. So if I<sup>azwj</sup> were to Grant him good health, it would be with no sins for him, and if I<sup>azwj</sup> were to Capture him (Cause him to die), would do so to My<sup>azwj</sup> Mercy”’.
