مجھے جعفر بن محمد علیہ السلام کے ایک مولیٰ نے بتایا: ان کے کچھ موالی میں سے ایک بیمار پڑ گیا، تو ہم اس کی عیادت کو نکلے۔ ہم جعفر کے موالی کی ایک جماعت تھے۔ راستے میں جعفر علیہ السلام ہمیں ملے اور فرمایا: 'کہاں جا رہے ہو؟' ہم نے کہا: 'ہم فلاں کی عیادت کو جا رہے ہیں۔' انہوں نے فرمایا: 'رک جاؤ۔' تو ہم رک گئے۔ انہوں نے فرمایا: 'کیا تم میں سے کسی کے پاس ایک سیب ہے، یا بہی، یا ترنج، یا تھوڑی سی خوشبو، یا بخور کا ٹکڑا؟' ہم نے کہا: 'ہمارے پاس ان میں سے کچھ نہیں۔' انہوں نے فرمایا: 'کیا تم نہیں جانتے کہ مریض ہر اس چیز سے راحت پاتا ہے جو اسے لا کر دی جائے؟'

Translation

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Musa Bin Al Hassan, from Al Fazl Bin Aamir Abu Al Abbas, from Musa Bin Al Qasim who said, ‘Abu Zayd narrated to me saying, ‘A slave of Ja’far Bin Muhammad^asws said: ‘One of the ones in his^asws Wilayah became sick, so we went out to visit him, and we were a number of the ones in the Wilayah of Ja’far^asws. So we met Ja’far^asws in one of the streets. He^asws said to us: ‘Where are you intending (to go to)?’ So we said, ‘We are intending to visit so and so’. So he^asws said to us: ‘Pause’. So we paused. So he^asws said: ‘Is there with one of you, an apple, or a quince, or a citron, or a spoonful of perfume, or a piece of incense fragrance?’ So we said, ‘There is nothing from this with us’. So he^asws said: ‘Are you not knowing that the patient is relieved to see what everyone comes over to him with?’
