تَمَامُ الْعِيَادَةِ لِلْمَرِيضِ أَنْ تَضَعَ يَدَكَ عَلَى ذِرَاعِهِ وَ تُعَجِّلَ الْقِيَامَ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ فَإِنَّ عِيَادَةَ النَّوْكَى أَشَدُّ عَلَى الْمَرِيضِ مِنْ وَجَعِهِ.

ہمارے بہت سے اصحاب نے سہل بن زیاد سے، انہوں نے محمد بن سلیمان سے، انہوں نے موسیٰ بن قادم سے، انہوں نے ایک شخص سے، انہوں نے ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت کی کہ آپ نے فرمایا: مریض کی عیادت کی تکمیل یہ ہے کہ تم اپنا ہاتھ اس کی بانہ پر رکھو اور جلدی اس کے پاس سے اٹھ جاؤ، کیونکہ بے وقوفوں کی عیادت مریض پر اس کی تکلیف سے بھی زیادہ بھاری ہوتی ہے۔
Translation
A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Muhammad Bin Suleyman, from Musa Bin Qadim, from a man, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘The completion of the visitation to the sick is that you place your hand upon his forearm and hasten the arising from his presence, for the foolish visitation is difficult upon the patient due to his pain’.
