اس سے، احمد بن محمد سے، حسین بن سعید سے، قاسم بن محمد سے، علی بن ابی حمزہ سے، ابو بصیر سے، ابو جعفر علیہ السلام سے روایت ہے کہ: ہم آپ کی خدمت میں حاضر تھے اور حمران بھی آپ کے پاس تھے، اتنے میں آپ کا ایک غلام داخل ہوا اور اس نے کہا: آپ پر قربان جاؤں! یہ عکرمہ موت کی تکلیف میں ہے — اور وہ خوارج کا نظریہ رکھتا تھا، لیکن ابو جعفر علیہ السلام کا ہمدرد بھی تھا — تو ابو جعفر علیہ السلام نے ہم سے فرمایا: میرا انتظار کرو یہاں تک کہ میں واپس آؤں۔ ہم نے کہا: ہاں۔ زیادہ دیر نہیں ہوئی کہ آپ واپس آ گئے اور فرمایا: سن لو، اگر میں عکرمہ کو روح کے اپنی جگہ پہنچنے سے پہلے پا لیتا تو اسے ایسے کلمات سکھا دیتا جن سے وہ فائدہ اٹھاتا، لیکن میں نے اسے پایا تو روح اپنی جگہ پہنچ چکی تھی۔ میں نے عرض کیا: آپ پر قربان جاؤں! وہ کلام کیا تھا؟ آپ نے فرمایا: یہ وہی ہے، اللہ کی قسم، جس پر تم ہو۔ پس اپنے مرنے والوں کو موت کے وقت یہ شہادت دلاؤ کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں اور ولایت۔

Translation

From him, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al Husayn Bin Saeed, from Al Qasim Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Abu Hamza, from Abu Baseer, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far^asws, said, ‘We were in his^asws presence, and in his^asws presence was Humran, when a slave of his^asws came over, and he said, ‘May I be sacrificed for you^asws! This Ikrama is in (pangs of) death, and he views with the views of the Kharijites, and he was (also) devoted to Abu Ja’far^asws’. So Abu Ja’far^asws said to us: ‘Wait for me^asws until I^asws return to you’. So we said, ‘Yes’. So it was not long before he^asws returned, and he^asws said: ‘But, had I^asws seen Ikrama before the soul had reached its place, I^asws would have taught him ceratin words he would have benefitted by. But I^asws saw him, and the soul had already reached its place’. I said, ‘And what is that speech?’ He^asws said: ‘It is, by Allah^azwj, what you all are upon, therefore indoctrinate your dying ones during the death, the testimony that there is no god except for Allah^azwj, and the Wilayah’.
