John Shaqi

قُلْتُ لَهُ أَ يَغْتَسِلُ مَنْ غَسَّلَ الْمَيِّتَ قَالَ نَعَمْ قُلْتُ مَنْ أَدْخَلَهُ الْقَبْرَ قَالَ لَا إِنَّمَا يَمَسُّ الثِّيَابَ .


Translation

Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Ibn Abu Najran, from Abdullah Bin Sinan, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, said, ‘I said to him<sup>asws</sup>, ‘Should he wash, the one who washed the deceased?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Yes’. I said, ‘The one who enters into his grave?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘No, but rather, he would touch the clothes (of the deceased)’.
