قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) لَوْ كَانَ النَّاسُ رَجُلَيْنِ لَكَانَ أَحَدُهُمَا الْإِمَامَ وَ قَالَ إِنَّ آخِرَ مَنْ يَمُوتُ الْإِمَامُ لِئَلَّا يَحْتَجَّ أَحَدٌ عَلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ أَنَّهُ تَرَكَهُ بِغَيْرِ حُجَّةٍ لِلَّهِ عَلَيْهِ .

محمد بن یحییٰ، اس سے جس نے اسے ذکر کیا، حسن بن موسی الخشاب سے، جعفر بن محمد سے، کرام سے، جنہوں نے کہا: ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: 'اگر لوگ صرف دو مرد ہوتے تو ان میں سے ایک امام ہوتا۔' اور فرمایا: 'آخری شخص جو وفات پائے گا وہ امام ہوگا، تاکہ کوئی اللہ عز و جل کے خلاف حجت پیش نہ کر سکے کہ اس نے اسے اللہ کی حجت کے بغیر چھوڑ دیا۔'
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from the one who mentioned it, from Al Hassan Bin Musa Al Khashhab, from Ja’far Bin Muhammad, from Karram who said, ‘Abu Abdllah<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘If the people were (only) two men, it would be so that one of the two would be the Imam<sup>asws</sup>’. And he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The last one to be dying would be the Imam<sup>asws</sup>, lest anyone could argue against Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic that He<sup>azwj</sup> Left him to be without a Divine Authority of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> upon him’.
