سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ أَفْضَلِ مَا يَتَقَرَّبُ بِهِ الْعِبَادُ إِلَى رَبِّهِمْ وَ أَحَبِّ ذَلِكَ إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ مَا هُوَ فَقَالَ مَا أَعْلَمُ شَيْئاً بَعْدَ الْمَعْرِفَةِ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةِ أَ لَا تَرَى أَنَّ الْعَبْدَ الصَّالِحَ عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ وَ أَوْصانِي بِالصَّلاةِ وَ الزَّكاةِ ما دُمْتُ حَيًّا .

محمد بن یعقوب الکلینی، اس کتاب کے مصنف، اللہ ان پر رحم فرمائے، کہتے ہیں: محمد بن یحییٰ نے مجھ سے روایت کی، احمد بن محمد بن عیسیٰ سے، حسن بن محبوب سے، معاویہ بن وہب سے جنہوں نے کہا: میں نے ابو عبداللہ (علیہ السلام) سے سوال کیا کہ سب سے افضل کیا ہے جس کے ذریعے بندے اپنے رب کا قرب حاصل کرتے ہیں اور اللہ عزوجل کو کیا سب سے زیادہ پسند ہے؟ تو آپ نے فرمایا: 'میں معرفت کے بعد کوئی چیز اس نماز سے افضل نہیں جانتا۔' کیا تم نہیں دیکھتے کہ صالح بندے عیسیٰ بن مریم (علیہ السلام) نے کہا: 'اور اس نے مجھے نماز اور زکوٰة کی وصیت کی جب تک میں زندہ رہوں'؟ [قرآن 19:31]
Translation
<span style="font-size: small">Muhammad Bin Yaqoub Al Kulayni, the author of this book, may </span>Allah<sup>azwj</sup> <span style="font-size: small">have Mercy on him, says, ‘Muhammad Bin Yahya narrated to me, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Al Hassan Bin Mhaboub, from Muawiya Bin Wahab who said, </span> ‘I asked Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> about the most superior of what would cause the servants to be closer to their Lord<sup>azwj</sup> and the most Beloved of that to Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic, ‘What is it?’ So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘I<sup>asws</sup> do not know of anything, after the recognition (of the Wilayah), anything more superior than this <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span>. Do you not see that the righteous servant Isa<sup>as</sup> Bin Maryam<sup>as</sup> said: ‘<span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:19#h31"><a href="/books/quran:19#h31">[19:31]</a></a> And He has Made me Blessed wherever I may be, and He has Enjoined upon me with the Salāt (Prayer) and the Zakāt for as long as I live</span>’?’
