میں نے انہیں (علیہ السلام) فرماتے ہوئے سنا: اللہ عزوجل کے نزدیک سب سے محبوب عمل نماز ہے، اور یہ انبیاء علیہم السلام کی آخری وصیت ہے۔ تو کتنا اچھا ہے وہ آدمی جو غسل یا وضو کرے اور وضو کو پوری طرح ادا کرے، پھر ایسی جگہ الگ ہو جائے جہاں کوئی انسان اسے نہ دیکھے، اور اللہ اسے دیکھتا ہو جبکہ وہ رکوع یا سجدے میں ہو! بے شک جب بندہ سجدہ کرے اور سجدے کو طول دے، تو ابلیس پکار اٹھتا ہے: اے میری بربادی! اس نے اطاعت کی اور میں نے نافرمانی کی، اس نے سجدہ کیا اور میں نے انکار کیا۔

Translation

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from Muhammad Bin Isa, from Yunus, from Haroun Bin Kharja, from Zayd Al Shahham, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah^asws, said, ‘I heard him^asws saying: ‘The most beloved of deeds to Allah^azwj Mighty and Majestic is the <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span>, and it is the last of the bequests of the Prophets^as. So what is better for the man than he washes or performs <span class="iTxt">Wuzu</span> (ablution), so he accomplishes the <span class="iTxt">Wuzu</span>, then he steps aside where no person can see him, and He^azwj Watches him and he is either <span class="iTxt">Rukū</span> or <span class="iTxt">Sajdah</span>? The servant, when he performs <span class="iTxt">Sajdah</span>, and prolongs the <span class="iTxt">Sajdah </span>(prostration), Iblees^la calls out, ‘O woe! He obeys and I^la disobeyed, and he performs <span class="iTxt">Sajdah</span> and I^la refused’.
