قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) دَخَلَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْجَدَلِيُّ عَلَى أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فَقَالَ ( عليه السلام ) يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَ لَا أُخْبِرُكَ بِقَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ مَنْ جاءَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُ خَيْرٌ مِنْها وَ هُمْ مِنْ فَزَعٍ يَوْمَئِذٍ آمِنُونَ. وَ مَنْ جاءَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ فَكُبَّتْ وُجُوهُهُمْ فِي النَّارِ هَلْ تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا ما كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ قَالَ بَلَى يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ فَقَالَ الْحَسَنَةُ مَعْرِفَةُ الْوَلَايَةِ وَ حُبُّنَا أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَ السَّيِّئَةُ إِنْكَارُ الْوَلَايَةِ وَ بُغْضُنَا أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ عَلَيْهِ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ .

الحسین بن محمد، معلیٰ بن محمد سے، محمد بن اورمہ اور محمد بن عبداللہ سے، علی بن حسان سے، عبدالرحمن بن کثیر سے، ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت کرتے ہیں، جنہوں نے فرمایا: ابو جعفر علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: ابو عبداللہ الجدلی امیر المؤمنین کے پاس داخل ہوئے، اور انہوں نے علیہ السلام فرمایا: اے ابو عبداللہ، کیا میں تمہیں اللہ عز و جل کے اس قول کی خبر نہ دوں: جو کوئی نیکی لے کر آئے گا، اس کے لیے اس سے بہتر ہوگا، اور وہ اس دن کی گھبراہٹ سے امن میں ہوں گے۔ اور جو کوئی برائی لے کر آئے گا، ان کے چہرے آگ میں اوندھے کر دیے جائیں گے۔ کیا تمہیں اس کے سوا بدلہ دیا جائے گا جو تم کیا کرتے تھے؟ انہوں نے کہا: ہاں، اے امیر المؤمنین، میں آپ پر قربان۔ انہوں نے فرمایا: نیکی ولایت کی معرفت اور ہم اہل بیت سے محبت ہے؛ اور برائی ولایت کا انکار اور ہم اہل بیت سے بغض ہے۔ پھر انہوں نے یہ آیت ان پر تلاوت فرمائی۔
Translation
Al Husayn Bin Muhammad, from Moalla Bin Muhammad, from Muhammad Bin Awrama and Muhammad Bin Abdullah, from Ali Bin Hassan, from Abdul Rahman Bin Kaseer, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> having said: ‘Abu Ja’far<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> said: ‘Abu Abdullah Al-Jadly came over to Amir Al-Momineen<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup>, so he<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> said: ‘O Abu Abdullah! Shall I<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> inform you with the Words of Allah<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:27#h89"><a href="/books/quran:27#h89">[27:89]</a></a> Whoever brings good, he shall have better than it; and they shall be secure from terror on the Day <a href="/#/books/quran:27#h90"><a href="/books/quran:27#h90">[27:90]</a></a> And whoever brings evil, these shall be thrown down on their faces into the Fire; will you be Recompensed except for what you had been doing?</span> He said, ‘Yes, O Amir Al-Momineen<sup>asws</sup>, may I be sacrificed for you<sup>asws</sup>’. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The good is the recognition of the Wilayah and our<sup>asws</sup> love of the People<sup>asws</sup> of the Household, and the evil is the denial of the Wilayah and us<sup>asws</sup>, hatred of the People<sup>asws</sup> of the Household’. Then he<sup>asws</sup> recited these Verses’.
