قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) وَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهُ لَيَأْتِي عَلَى الرَّجُلِ خَمْسُونَ سَنَةً وَ مَا قَبِلَ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ صَلَاةً وَاحِدَةً فَأَيُّ شَيْءٍ أَشَدُّ مِنْ هَذَا وَ اللَّهِ إِنَّكُمْ لَتَعْرِفُونَ مِنْ جِيرَانِكُمْ وَ أَصْحَابِكُمْ مَنْ لَوْ كَانَ يُصَلِّي لِبَعْضِكُمْ مَا قَبِلَهَا مِنْهُ لِاسْتِخْفَافِهِ بِهَا إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ لَا يَقْبَلُ إِلَّا الْحَسَنَ فَكَيْفَ يَقْبَلُ مَا يُسْتَخَفُّ بِهِ .

محمد بن یحیی نے، احمد بن محمد بن عیسیٰ سے، انہوں نے الحسین بن سعید سے، انہوں نے صفوان بن یحیی سے، انہوں نے العیص بن القاسم سے روایت کی، انہوں نے کہا: ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: 'اللہ کی قسم! کسی شخص پر پچاس سال گزر جاتے ہیں اور اللہ نے اس کی ایک نماز بھی قبول نہیں کی۔ پھر اس سے بڑھ کر کوئی مصیبت کیا ہو سکتی ہے؟ اللہ کی قسم! تم اپنے پڑوسیوں اور ساتھیوں میں ایسے لوگوں کو پہچانتے ہو جن کی نماز، اگر وہ تم میں سے کسی کے لیے پڑھتے، تو تم اسے قبول نہ کرتے، نماز کی تحقیر کی وجہ سے۔ بے شک اللہ عزّ و جلّ صرف اچھی چیز قبول فرماتا ہے، پس جس چیز کی تحقیر کی جائے اسے کیسے قبول کرے گا؟'
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Al Husayn Bin Saeed, from Safwan Bin Yahya, from Al Ays Bin Al Qasim who said, ‘Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘By Allah<sup>azwj</sup>! There could come upon the man, fifty years (of age) and not a <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span> is Accepted from him. So which thing is more difficult than this? By Allah<sup>azwj</sup>! You know the ones in your neighbourhood and your companions, the one who, were to pray <span class="iTxt">Salāt </span>from one of you, it would not be Accepted from him due to his belittling with it. Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic does not Accept but only pure, so how would He<sup>azwj</sup> Accept what is belittled with?’
