قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) إِذَا دَخَلَ وَقْتُ الْفَرِيضَةِ أَتَنَفَّلُ أَوْ أَبْدَأُ بِالْفَرِيضَةِ قَالَ إِنَّ الْفَضْلَ أَنْ تَبْدَأَ بِالْفَرِيضَةِ .
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Abu Ayoub, from Muhammad Bin Muslim who said, ‘I said to Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, ‘When the time for the Obligatory (<span class="iTxt">Salāt</span>) enters, shall I pray the Optional <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span> or begin with the Obligatory?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said ‘It is preferred that you begin with the Obligatory’.
