قُلْتُ لِأَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) أَعْرِضُ عَلَيْكَ دِينِيَ الَّذِي أَدِينُ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ بِهِ قَالَ فَقَالَ هَاتِ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَ أَنَّ مُحَمَّداً عَبْدُهُ وَ رَسُولُهُ وَ الْإِقْرَارُ بِمَا جَاءَ بِهِ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ وَ أَنَّ عَلِيّاً كَانَ إِمَاماً فَرَضَ اللَّهُ طَاعَتَهُ ثُمَّ كَانَ بَعْدَهُ الْحَسَنُ إِمَاماً فَرَضَ اللَّهُ طَاعَتَهُ ثُمَّ كَانَ بَعْدَهُ الْحُسَيْنُ إِمَاماً فَرَضَ اللَّهُ طَاعَتَهُ ثُمَّ كَانَ بَعْدَهُ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ إِمَاماً فَرَضَ اللَّهُ طَاعَتَهُ حَتَّى انْتَهَى الْأَمْرُ إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قُلْتُ أَنْتَ يَرْحَمُكَ اللَّهُ قَالَ فَقَالَ هَذَا دِينُ اللَّهِ وَ دِينُ مَلَائِكَتِهِ .

محمد بن الحسن، سهل بن زیاد سے، محمد بن عیسیٰ سے، فضالہ بن ایوب سے، ابان سے، عبداللہ بن سنان سے، اسماعیل بن جابر سے، جنہوں نے کہا: میں نے ابو جعفر علیہ السلام سے کہا: "کیا میں آپ کے سامنے اپنا دین پیش کروں جس کے ذریعے میں اللہ عزوجل کی عبادت کرتا ہوں؟" انہوں نے فرمایا: "پیش کرو۔" انہوں نے فرمایا: پس میں نے کہا: "میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، وہ اکیلا ہے، اس کا کوئی شریک نہیں، اور یہ کہ محمد اس کے بندے اور اس کے رسول ہیں، اور اس پر اقرار کرتا ہوں جو وہ اللہ کی طرف سے لے کر آئے؛ اور یہ کہ علی ایک امام تھے جن کی اطاعت اللہ نے واجب قرار دی؛ پھر ان کے بعد حسن ایک امام تھے جن کی اطاعت اللہ نے واجب قرار دی؛ پھر ان کے بعد حسین ایک امام تھے جن کی اطاعت اللہ نے واجب قرار دی؛ پھر ان کے بعد علی بن الحسین ایک امام تھے جن کی اطاعت اللہ نے واجب قرار دی، یہاں تک کہ معاملہ ان تک پہنچ گیا۔" پھر میں نے کہا: "آپ ہی ہیں، اللہ آپ پر رحم فرمائے۔" انہوں نے فرمایا: "یہ اللہ کا دین ہے اور اس کے فرشتوں کا دین ہے۔"
Translation
Muhammad Bin Al Hassan, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Muhammad Bin Isa, from Fazalat Bin Ayoub, from Aban, from Abdullah Bin Sinan, from Ismail Bin Jabir who said, ‘I said to Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup>, ‘Shall I present to you<sup>asws</sup> my Religion which I have made a Religion of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic with?’ So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Give!’. He (the narrator) said, ‘So I said, ‘I testify that there is no god except Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Alone, there being no associates for Him<sup>azwj</sup>, and that Muhammad<sup>saww</sup> is His<sup>azwj</sup> servant and His<sup>azwj</sup> Rasool<sup>saww</sup>, and the acknowledgement with whatever has come from the Presence of Allah<sup>azwj</sup>, and that Ali<sup>asws</sup> was an Imam<sup>asws</sup>. Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Necessitated obedience to him<sup>asws</sup>. Then, after him<sup>asws</sup> Al-Hassan<sup>asws</sup> was an Imam<sup>asws</sup>. Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Necessitated obedience to him<sup>asws</sup>. Then, after him<sup>asws</sup> Al-Husayn<sup>asws</sup> was an Imam<sup>asws</sup>. Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Necessitated obedience to him<sup>asws</sup>. Then after him<sup>asws</sup> Ali<sup>asws</sup> Bin Al-Husayn<sup>asws</sup> was an Imam<sup>asws</sup>. Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Necessitated obedience to him<sup>asws</sup>, until the matter has ended up to you<sup>asws</sup>’. Then I said, ‘(Then it is) You<sup>asws</sup>, may Allah<sup>azwj</sup> have Mercy on you<sup>asws</sup>!’ So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘This is the Religion of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> and the Religion of His<sup>azwj</sup> Angels’.
