John Shaqi

ا قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) إِذَا قُمْتَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَقُلِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أُقَدِّمُ إِلَيْكَ مُحَمَّداً ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) بَيْنَ يَدَيْ حَاجَتِي وَ أَتَوَجَّهُ بِهِ إِلَيْكَ فَاجْعَلْنِي بِهِ وَجِيهاً عِنْدَكَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَ الْآخِرَةِ وَ مِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ اجْعَلْ صَلَاتِي بِهِ مَقْبُولَةً وَ ذَنْبِي بِهِ مَغْفُوراً وَ دُعَائِي بِهِ مُسْتَجَاباً إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ .


Translation

And from him, from his father, from Al Husayn Bin Saeed, from Fazalat, from Aban and Muawiya Bin Wahab who both said, ‘Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘When you stand to the <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span>, so say, ‘O Allah<sup>azwj</sup>! I consider Muhammad<sup>saww</sup> in front of me in Your<sup>azwj</sup> Presence along with me wishes and needs and I turn to You through them<sup>asws</sup>. therefore Make it for me a valid reason in Your<sup>azwj</sup> Presence, in the world and in the Hereafter, to be of the ones of proximity. Make my <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span> to be Acceptable through him<sup>saww</sup>, and my sins to be Forgiven through him<sup>saww</sup>, and my supplications to be Answered through him<sup>saww</sup>, You<sup>azwj</sup> are the Forgiver, Merciful’.
