John Shaqi

صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) أَيَّاماً فَكَانَ إِذَا كَانَتْ صَلَاةٌ لَا يُجْهَرُ فِيهَا جَهَرَ بِ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ وَ كَانَ يَجْهَرُ فِي السُّورَتَيْنِ جَمِيعاً .


Translation

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al Husayn Bin Saeed, from Al Qasim Bin Muhmmad, from Safwan Al Jammal who said, ‘I prayed <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span> behind Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> for days, and it was so that whenever it was a <span class="iTxt">Salāt</span> wherein is no loud recitation, he<sup>asws</sup> recited loudly with ‘In the Name of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> the Beneficent, the Merciful’; and he<sup>asws</sup> used to recite loudly during both the two Chapters’.
