قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) لَا خَيْرَ فِيمَنْ لَا يَتَفَقَّهُ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا يَا بَشِيرُ إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ مِنْهُمْ إِذَا لَمْ يَسْتَغْنِ بِفِقْهِهِ احْتَاجَ إِلَيْهِمْ فَإِذَا احْتَاجَ إِلَيْهِمْ أَدْخَلُوهُ فِي بَابِ ضَلَالَتِهِمْ وَ هُوَ لَا يَعْلَمُ .

احمد بن ادریس نے محمد بن حسان سے، انہوں نے ادریس بن الحسن سے، انہوں نے ابو اسحاق الکندی سے، انہوں نے بشیر الدہان سے روایت کی کہ: ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: 'ہمارے اصحاب میں سے جو فقہ حاصل نہیں کرتا اس میں کوئی بھلائی نہیں۔ اے بشیر! بے شک جب ان میں سے کوئی شخص اپنے فقہ سے بے نیاز نہ ہو تو وہ دوسروں کا محتاج ہو جاتا ہے، اور جب ان کا محتاج ہو جاتا ہے تو وہ اسے ان کی گمراہی کے دروازے میں داخل کر دیتے ہیں اور وہ جانتا بھی نہیں۔'
Translation
Ahmad Bin Idrees, from Muhammad Bin Hassan, from Idrees Bin Al Hassan, from Abu Is’haq Al Kindy, from Bashir Al Dahhan who said, ‘Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘There is no goodness in the ones from our<sup>asws</sup> companions who have no understanding (in Religion). O Bashir! The man from them, if he is not self-sufficient with his understanding, would be needy to them (people). So when they become needy to them (other people), they would enter him into the doors of their straying, and he would not (even) know’.
