سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ جَلَّ جَلَالُهُ وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنْكُمْ وَ عَمِلُوا الصَّالِحاتِ لَيَسْتَخْلِفَنَّهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ كَمَا اسْتَخْلَفَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ قَالَ هُمُ الْأَئِمَّةُ.

میں نے ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے اللہ جل جلالہ کے قول کے بارے میں پوچھا: 'اللہ نے ان لوگوں سے وعدہ کیا ہے جو تم میں سے ایمان لائے اور نیک اعمال کیے کہ وہ انہیں ضرور زمین میں خلیفہ بنائے گا جیسا کہ اس نے ان سے پہلے والوں کو خلیفہ بنایا' آپ نے فرمایا: 'وہ ائمہ ہیں۔'
Translation
Al Husayn Bin Muhammad, from Moalla Bin Muhammad, from Al Washa, from Abdullah Bin Sinan who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> about the Words of Allah<sup>azwj</sup>, Majestic is His<sup>azwj</sup> Majesty <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:24#h55"><a href="/books/quran:24#h55">[24:55]</a></a> Allah has Promised to those of you who believe and do righteous deeds that He will Make them to be Caliphs in the earth as He Made Caliphs those who were before them</span>. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘They<sup>asws</sup> are the Imams<sup>asws</sup>’.
