قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) مَنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يَحْيَا حَيَاةً تُشْبِهُ حَيَاةَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ وَ يَمُوتَ مِيتَةً تُشْبِهُ مِيتَةَ الشُّهَدَاءِ وَ يَسْكُنَ الْجِنَانَ الَّتِي غَرَسَهَا الرَّحْمَنُ فَلْيَتَوَلَّ عَلِيّاً وَ لْيُوَالِ وَلِيَّهُ وَ لْيَقْتَدِ بِالْأَئِمَّةِ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ فَإِنَّهُمْ عِتْرَتِي خُلِقُوا مِنْ طِينَتِي اللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقْهُمْ فَهْمِي وَ عِلْمِي وَ وَيْلٌ لِلْمُخَالِفِينَ لَهُمْ مِنْ أُمَّتِي اللَّهُمَّ لَا تُنِلْهُمْ شَفَاعَتِي .
اردو
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جو شخص یہ چاہے کہ وہ ایسی زندگی گزارے جو انبیاء کی زندگی سے مشابہ ہو، اور ایسی موت مرے جو شہداء کی موت سے مشابہ ہو، اور ان باغوں میں سکونت کرے جو رحمٰن نے لگائے ہیں، تو وہ علی کو اپنا ولی بنائے، اور ان کے دوستوں سے موالات رکھے، اور ان کے بعد آنے والے اماموں کی اقتدا کرے۔ کیونکہ بے شک وہ میری عترت ہیں، میری طینت سے خلق ہوئے ہیں۔ اے اللہ! انہیں میری سمجھ اور میرا علم عطا فرما۔ اور ہلاکت ہو میری امت میں سے ان لوگوں پر جو ان کی مخالفت کرتے ہیں! اے اللہ! انہیں میری شفاعت نصیب نہ فرما!
Translation
Ahmad Bin Muhammad and Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Muhammad Bin Al Husayn, from Muhammad Bin Abdul Hameed, from Mansour Bin Yunus, from Sa’ad Bin Tareyf, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> said: ‘The one who loves it that he should live a life resembling the lives of the Prophets<sup>as</sup> and he should be dying a death resembling the deaths of the martyrs, and he settles in the Gardens which the Beneficent has Grown, so let him befriend Ali<sup>asws</sup>, and let him befriend his<sup>asws</sup> friends, and let him follow the Imams<sup>asws</sup> who (would come) after him<sup>asws</sup>, for they<sup>asws</sup> are my<sup>saww</sup> family, having been Created from my<sup>saww</sup> essence. O Allah<sup>azwj</sup>! Grace them<sup>asws</sup> my<sup>saww</sup> understanding, and my<sup>saww</sup> knowledge; and woe be unto the adversaries of theirs<sup>asws</sup> from my<sup>saww</sup> community! O Allah<sup>azwj</sup>! Do not let them attain my<sup>saww</sup> intercession!’.
