John Shaqi

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) إِذَا كَانَ فِي سَفَرٍ أَوْ عَجَّلَتْ بِهِ حَاجَةٌ يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الظُّهْرِ وَ الْعَصْرِ وَ بَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَ الْعِشَاءِ قَالَ وَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) لَا بَأْسَ بِأَنْ تُعَجِّلَ عِشَاءَ الْآخِرَةِ فِي السَّفَرِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَغِيبَ الشَّفَقُ .


Translation

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Hammad, from Al Halby, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘It was so that whenever Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> was in a journey, or due to a reason of a need, would gather together <span class="iTxt">Al-Zohr </span>and <span class="iTxt">Al Asr </span>(Salāt), and between <span class="iTxt">Al-Maghrib</span> and <span class="iTxt">Al-Isha</span> (<span class="iTxt">Salāt</span>). He (the narrator) said, ‘And he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘There is no problem with hastening the last Isha (Salāt) during the journey before the disappearing of the twilight (redness)’.
