ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے سونے اور چاندی کے بارے میں پوچھا گیا: 'اس میں زکوٰة کی کم سے کم مقدار کیا ہے؟' آپ نے فرمایا: 'دو سو درہم، اور اس کے برابر سونا۔' راوی نے کہا: میں نے اُن سے چھوٹی رقم — پانچ اور دس — کے بارے میں پوچھا۔ آپ نے فرمایا: 'اس پر کچھ نہیں جب تک چالیس تک نہ پہنچ جائے، پھر ہر چالیس درہم میں سے ایک درہم دیا جائے گا۔'

Translation

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, and Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, altogether from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Hammad, from Al Halby who said, ‘Abu Abdullah^asws was asked about the gold and the silver, ‘What is the least of what there would happen to be <span class="iTxt">Zakāt</span> in it?’ He^asws said: ‘Two hundred Dirhams, and the equivalent of it from the gold’. And I asked him^asws about the small change, the five and the ten. He^asws said: ‘There is nothing upon it until it reaches forty, so you would give from every forty Dirhams, one Dirham’.
