سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنِ الْعُشُورِ الَّتِي تُؤْخَذُ مِنَ الرَّجُلِ أَ يَحْتَسِبُ بِهَا مِنْ زَكَاتِهِ قَالَ نَعَمْ إِنْ شَاءَ .
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Muhammad Bin Al Husayn, from Safwan Bin Yahya, from Yaqoub Bin Shuayb who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> about the tenth (10%) which is taken from the man (by the government), ‘Can one reckon with it to be from the <span class="iTxt">Zakāt</span>?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Yes, if he so desires to’.
