سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَرِثُ الْأَرْضَ أَوْ يَشْتَرِيهَا فَيُؤَدِّي خَرَاجَهَا إِلَى السُّلْطَانِ هَلْ عَلَيْهِ عُشْرٌ قَالَ لَا .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Abu Nasr, from Rifa’at Bin Musa, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, said, ‘I asked him<sup>asws</sup> about the man who inherits a land, or he buys it, and he pays its taxes to the Sultan (ruling authority), ‘Is there a tenth (10%) to pay upon it (as <span class="iTxt">Zakāt</span>)?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘No’.
