إِذَا أَخْرَجَ الرَّجُلُ الزَّكَاةَ مِنْ مَالِهِ ثُمَّ سَمَّاهَا لِقَوْمٍ فَضَاعَتْ أَوْ أَرْسَلَ بِهَا إِلَيْهِمْ فَضَاعَتْ فَلَا شَيْءَ عَلَيْهِ .
Translation
Hammad Bin Isa, from Hareyz, from Abu Baseer, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘When the man extracts the <span class="iTxt">Zakāt</span> from his wealth, then specifies it for a particular group of people, but it gets wasted, or he sends with it/him to them, but it gets wasted, so there is nothing upon him’.
