Translation

Ahmad Bin Idrees, from Muhammad Bin Abdul Jabbar, from Safwan Bin Yahya, from Is’haq Bin Ammar who said, ‘I said to Abu Abdullahasws, ‘A man has eight hundred Dirhams for him, and for a son of his there are two hundred Dirhams, and for him there are ten dependants, and he is providing for them with difficulty, and there is no profession in his hands, and rather he trades with it, and it remains absent from him for months. Then he consumes from its excess (profits). What is yourasws view for him, when the <span class="iTxt">Zakāt</span> is due, should he take it out from his wealth and assist his dependants with it, bestowing upon them with it for the expenses?’ Heasws said: ‘Yes, but he should be taking something from it (in the form of) the Dirhams’.
