ہمارے کچھ ساتھیوں نے احمد بن محمد بن ابی عبداللہ سے، انہوں نے اپنے والد سے، انہوں نے خلف بن حماد سے، انہوں نے اسماعیل الجوہری سے، انہوں نے ابوبصیر سے، انہوں نے ابو جعفر (علیہ السلام) سے روایت کی، آپ نے فرمایا: اگر میں ایک حج کروں تو یہ مجھے اس سے زیادہ محبوب ہے کہ میں ایک گردن (غلام) آزاد کروں، اور ایک گردن — یہاں تک کہ دس تک پہنچے، اور اس کی مثل، اور اس کی مثل، یہاں تک کہ ستر تک پہنچ جائے۔ اور اگر میں مسلمانوں میں سے ایک گھرانے کی کفالت کروں، ان کی بھوک مٹاؤں، ان کی شرم گاہ ڈھانپوں، اور ان کے چہروں کو لوگوں سے (مانگنے سے) روکوں تو یہ مجھے اس سے زیادہ محبوب ہے کہ میں ایک حج کروں، اور ایک حج، اور ایک حج — یہاں تک کہ دس، اور دس، اور دس تک پہنچے، اور اس کی مثل، اور اس کی مثل، یہاں تک کہ ستر تک پہنچ جائے۔

Translation

A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Abu Abdullah, from his father, from Khalaf Bin Hammad, from Ismail Al Jowhary, from Abu Baseer, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far^asws having said: ‘If I^asws were to perform a Hajj, it would be more beloved to me^asws than if I^asws were to free a neck, and a neck’ – until he^asws ended up to ten, ‘and similar to it, and similar to it until it ends up to seventy; and if I^asws were to support a family from the Muslims, satiate their hunger, and clothe their nakedness, and restrain their faces from the people, it would be more beloved to me^asws than if I^asws were to perform a Hajj, and a Hajj, and a Hajj, until it ends up to ten, and ten, and ten, and similar to it, and similar to it, until it ends up to seventy’.
