كَانَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) إِذَا أَعْتَمَ وَ ذَهَبَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ شَطْرُهُ أَخَذَ جِرَاباً فِيهِ خُبْزٌ وَ لَحْمٌ وَ الدَّرَاهِمُ فَحَمَلَهُ عَلَى عُنُقِهِ ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ بِهِ إِلَى أَهْلِ الْحَاجَةِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ فَقَسَمَهُ فِيهِمْ وَ لَا يَعْرِفُونَهُ فَلَمَّا مَضَى أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) فَقَدُوا ذَلِكَ فَعَلِمُوا أَنَّهُ كَانَ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) .
اردو
محمد بن یحییٰ نے احمد بن محمد سے، انہوں نے ابن ابی عمیر سے، انہوں نے ہشام بن سالم سے روایت کی کہ انہوں نے کہا: ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام جب رات کا اندھیرا چھا جاتا اور آدھی رات گزر جاتی تو ایک تھیلا لیتے جس میں روٹی، گوشت اور درہم ہوتے، اسے اپنی گردن پر اٹھاتے، پھر مدینہ کے محتاج لوگوں کے پاس جاتے اور ان میں تقسیم کرتے جبکہ وہ آپ کو نہیں پہچانتے تھے۔ جب ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام کا وصال ہوا تو انہوں نے اس چیز کی کمی محسوس کی اور اس وقت انہیں معلوم ہوا کہ وہ ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام تھے۔
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Hisham Bin Salim who said, ‘When darkness used to fall and half the night passed, Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> would take a basket wherein would be bread, and meat, and the Dirhams. So he<sup>asws</sup> would carry it upon his<sup>asws</sup> neck, then go with it to the needy people from the inhabitants of Al-Medina, and distribute it among them, and they would not recognise him<sup>asws</sup>. So when Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> passed away, they missed that, then they came to know it was Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> (doing that)’.
